Registration dates for 2020 Fall Baseball, Softball & Football will be July 1 thru July 20. All registration must be done online through our web site at www.pikecorec.org. To make the registration process as contactless as possible we encourage everyone to pay by credit card ($141.97 or $85.10 4U baseball) or by check/money order ($137.00 or $82 for 4U baseball) payable to Pike County Parks & Recreation Authority and mailed to PCPRA P.O. Box 697 Zebulon, GA 30295. If paying by check or money order please make sure you have completed the registration process online before placing your payment in the mail. The base price for registration is $135.00 ($80.00 4U baseball) plus $2.00 (fee charged by Sports Sign Up Play) plus credit card fee of $4.97 ($3.10 4U baseball) if paying by credit card. The fee charged by Sports Sign Up Play and the credit card fee are non-refundable.
Age divisions offered are 4U, 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U & 14U. We will use the age cutoff date used in the spring for the fall season this year due to the cancellation of the 2020 spring season. Age cutoff date is the child's age prior to May 1, 2020.
If you were registered for the Spring 2020 baseball/softball season and desire to register for the fall season, you must register for the fall season. Your child is not automatically registered for the fall season, even if you received an account credit for a future season. If you need assistance registering or applying your account credit for payment please contact the recreation office at 770-567-2027 and we will be glad to assist you over the phone.
Tentative date to begin practice is August 3 for all three sports. The baseball/softball season is tentatively set to begin August 29 and the football season is tentatively set to begin September 12.
The plan is to keep the same teams together from the spring for baseball & softball and use the uniforms that were issued in the spring. For new baseball/softball players and football players information on sizing will be sent at a later date. At the current time football registration is for tackle football.
There will be no new tryouts or draft for the fall baseball/softball season. We may have to combine some teams if a returning team does not have all their players returning from the spring. New players will be placed on a team by PCPRA. Unfortunately, we will not be able to have a parade or opening day ceremonies for the fall season. Hopefully, we will be able to offer these activities again next spring.
A Waiver/Release for Communicable Diseases, including Covid-19 will be included as part of the registration process. Due to Covid-19, plans for the upcoming fall season are subject to change. Head Coaches will receive a 50% registration discount when registering your child for youth sports. This discount is for Head Coaches Only and must be redeemed at the recreation office. All coaches are required to successfully pass a criminal history background check and be certified through the National Youth Sports Coaches Association.
